Well, sort of new. I see this board up on the computer beside mine a lot, and sometimes lurk here for info. I'm skylar's girlfriend, Missy. I've been a member for a few months, but this is my first post. I just got my first secret base figure this week (one that I originally bought for him, but he had ordered it for himself on the same day!, so i'm keeping it!), but my main collecting interests are Blythe and other japanese dolls, be@rbricks/kubricks, and any strange toys from the 60s that have big creepy eyes. Here's a few pics of my stuff: some dolls and a 1000% andy warhol kubrick (my stuff is on the right) some weird shit from the 60s.
xxx Im fixin to go to ikea and get me some of those. Like your collection. keep up the obsessive hording of the toys. I love it.
Hi Missy! Good to have you here. Skylar, how do you get her to do Yahoo Japan for you? My girlfriend just hits me when I wake her up as I crawl out of bed in the middle of the night to go bid on something.
oh boy, if i can ever get around to dealing with a relationship again, the lucky man (lol) is gonna have to be verrrry special. hell, even I can't tolerate my computer and buying habits!!! Welcome Missy!!!! always happy to have another collecting chick around
Little Miss No Name FOREVER!!! An odd coincidence... I just got the Devil Pixie doll myself, and it just so happened to land on the shelf right next to Little Miss No Name. And then I saw your picture. Weird, huh?
what kind of stuff do you buy paul? all my blythes are stock. i would only customize if i had a stock already. ha. One of the ashton Drake has a different outfit on, but I still have all of her original accessories. I'd never cut hair or repaint though.
great minds think alike. did you get the devilpixie from archie mcphee? i was so excited to find her!
i don't even want to know how much you paid for her! Was she in that condition, or did she need a little TLC after you got her? She is awesome.
Well, I hate to say it..... 7$ at a yard sale about 18 years ago. she was mising her legs due to pelvic fracture, but they have been replaced as well as an eyeball sanding to remove the yellow and a polishing. Her makeup and hair were in great shape. I survived a good two years of being unemployed doing makeup and casting custom eyechips for Blythe. My girlfriend does some fantastic b work as well (it's how we met actually!) Here's her site: http://puchimadam.com/
Hi there Missy, You might be interested in this book. Saw it some time ago and it has a heap of "Big Eye" paintings in it. Some great stuff in it, and am sure you would like it given your collection...maybe Paul too for that matter: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/186154 ... oding=UTF8
paul, how did you get her hair like that? I love it. Do you have any pics of the back? I have one of the ashton drake repro's of her, and hate the hair.
