First painted Quang Kun release! Fun colors that I believe are representative of the muppet puppet that was constructed after him. The expression and face and hair are pretty damn spot on. The tattoos, while not exact representations, are still a great addition, and I’m always in awe of how well executed tattoos are on Ken’s toys. This is another one that I’m very curious as to what versions will be to come(presumably sans the orange/green Creature Bazaar blank).

Hopefully there is a wilder release of this version. Should have went to Monsterpalooza to grab this because it seemed a lot easier than the lotto.

Definitely excited for the new mold that he traded this morning.

Not sure if this has been posted but this should be a good one. Teased at DCON. Draculazer x Headlock Studios. Michael said first version should be coming some time this month. draculazer_headlock.jpg

It was whispered in a mention on page 18, but no image was posted. This was such a huge surprise to see over the weekend, and Michael is STOKED. The sample came out perfect and it’s so rad to see Ken collaborating with artists I personally appreciate(selfish outlook) to bring collectors even more rad shelf greatness. Big ups to Ken’s Doom tee, also.

Agreed! Ken is a real one for that doom shirt. Knuckle killed it on the sculpt and did Michael’s style seamlessly. Very excited for this release. Hopefully a Christmas miracle? Hahaha.

Headlock toys are so westernized with the pacman eyes I'm shocked at the prices at this point. This reminds me of previous waves of toys. That being said. I hope the Skattum version goes for the same price as the Garloo.

My comprehension skills aren’t quite up to snuff, so forgive my asking, but what’s the correlation here?

I think he's referring to the moon eyes reference that Ken using on the Kuns.

No, no, I get that. I just don’t get what the eyes have to do with the price of the toys. I’m clearly missing something.

I'm just saying say that these look very Westernized and remind me of Kidrobot toys from like ten years ago. I like headlock studio a lot but the amount of 700 dollar mummies that got flipped after Dcon is super depressing. The 1000 dollar mummies make me sick.

I hope Skattum's collaboration is a hit but sells like Garloo.

@bryce_r Ah! Okay, gotcha. And I wholeheartedly agree. Some of the prices have come down for certain releases on the aftermarket, but they’re still pretty ridiculous. I honestly haven’t looked at how many Mummies are being flipped, but I know it’d bum me the fuck out if I did.

The Draculazer collab is so great and as resco mentioned, Knuckle’s rendition of Michael’s art came out amazing. This particular character is going to open up some very interesting colorways!

Agree with you both for sure. The sad part is that it’s inevitable. That’s the hardest part because everyone’s out to make a quick dollar. The Asia market doesn’t help at all either because all these big whales are buying at any price which trickles down.

But every excited for the Draculazer collab. Hoping for some slimebats or even a toxie colorways!

The Taiwan/HK/UK/JPN shows usually see a handful get turned around . . . but it seems DCon took shit to a whole new level!

    God bless America!

Just a heads-up . . . Unwritten rule (although pretty sure its written someplace), don't post about lotteries/timed releases until they're done and dusted!

Collectors will already know about 'em and it just directs asshats and chancers to the hot sh*t!

. . . and everyone knows 'Good Luck to everyone' is code for 'Fuck you as long as I get one!'

Oh damn! Sorry about that. Definitely noted.

LOL! Okay, that phrase is not dead to me.

I scored this bad boy yesterday during the Creature Bazaar event on PSL yesterday!

I was also going for that new T-Rex from Dennis and the app made me put in my shipping info three separate times, by the time it finally took, T-Rex was long gone.

The whole event was a little over an hour, and it was a blast. I hope more toy makers, release stuff this way in the future, I totally felt like I was at a virtual convention and yukking it up in the chat with other collectors was quite fun as well.

The fact that all the Headlock stuff sold out in less than a minute still makes my head spin.

I'm officially 'OLD' . . . In contrast, all these hype-driven apps pushing the same fake excitement to move the merch bore the f*ck out of me!

I struggle to see any attraction in these 'virtual events' with little to compare with real world experiences. Personally I'd prefer to save the $$$ to do something actually memorable!

The Sick Boy sold out in less than 10 seconds. You could’ve put a stopwatch next to my phone with how fast I hit buy and checkout, just to see it say I wasn’t fast enough. Totally nuts.

Don’t get me wrong, I love going to conventions and gallery events but sometimes I don’t want to spend money on airfare, hotels, food for the weekend, etc. Sometimes I just wanna buy some toys.
