RIP. I know some might be against the guy for his NRA history, whatever, I don't care. I loved his movies. "Omega Man", "Planet of the Apes", "Soylent Green" just to name some fav's and of course his appearance in "Wayne's World 2."
I guess this means that someone will be prying a gun out of his hands... It is good that he leaves behind a legacy of something other than right-wing fundamentalist nutjob... Soylent Green is PEOPLE!!!
No love for A Touch of Evil, the fantastic Welles movie where Heston rocks the worst fake Mexican accent ever (I mean, the guy doesn't even try...)?
lost all respect for M.Moore from that point on.. it was like he was trying to crucify Chuck for that tragic event & to me that guy is a total ass for trying to make him feel guilty for it. IMHO music, films and guns don't kill people, people kill people & our culture as a whole should bear the blame.. not one tired old man. Soylent Green,The Omega Man & POTA are never to be out done. 110% Brilliant.
I don't buy the "one tired old man" schtick... Heston was rabid about promoting firearms. If he was so tired and old, he shouldn't have been the president of the NRA. He was totally fair game.
Mad love for that typeface! RIP Chuck; no matter what the haters say, they'll have a tough time impugning your manliness.
