If they purchased the bags it's their choice to do with them what they want, it shouldn't change things because they are also a retailer. I saw their sale thread and the prices were modest, so I wouldn't call it flipping. If they really are keeping one offs, it would be a shame if they didn't at least let the world see what it looked like, but it seems like some members here would crucify them if there was evidence that they are keeping them. Damned if you do damned if you don't I guess. The real crime here is that they aren't selling that green oozebat mini. Want it bad, but the rest of the bag looks lame.
If gargamel has chosen to let them distribute bags, thats something.. If your talking about the role they play in the community as a retailer/collectors and past behavior that was either misunderstood or perceived as being self serving, i'd say the SB reaction is understandable. A retailer needs to build up it's clientele and from what i see angelabby cares about how they are perceived and wants SB's business and acceptance. They either need to be low key, patient and caring in their actions or just represent themselves actively and transparently within the board, it all depends on how quickly they want to flip things. posting a pic of day old lucky bag contents on instagram with little signs marked "ALL PRICE PLEASE ASK" is a misstep but they quickly rectified that with a quick well priced SB sale. unfortunately this changes little, the angry mob is of a mind that absolute transparency is obliged. i like that they care enough to respond or put on a show
We open 3-4 bags of Gargamel New Year LB every year. But We never open customer ordered LB. We just selling items we have double,or we don't like. If you have buying Gargamel LB experience, you know it's impossible to open it and pack it again.
The way I see it, if you are a distributor you distribute. If you're a collector you fight for the bags that are offered to the public... But maybe that's just me. Using your distributor status to get a guaranteed go at 3-4 bags is odd. The real question though is if it is possible to "feel" through a bag to get a general idea of the shape of a standard toy or if it's possible to see the shape through a high-powered light? Because that would up the shady level 100 fold. Hey, maybe I can sign up to be a distributor... One bag a year that I can distribute to myself.
So out of the bags you get direct from Gargamel, you hold back 3-4 for yourself before selling any to collectors? I wouldn't call you flippers unless you're making more on the bags by piecing them out than from selling blind. Still, keeping 3-4 bags from reaching the public just to pad your collection seems a bit wrong. Who cars though, right? Carry on with the pics!!!
It's probably not too hard to determine which bags have a Deathra or Garudan in them and which bags have a Conifer / zag in them. So far , of the complete bags posted = (could have missed one somewhere) Deathra / normal mixed Zag OR Garudan / normal mixed Zag OR Conifer / Mecha-Zag or Miborah ...... So based on AA sale picture , the missing figure = Mecha-Zag or Miborah ( goes with the Conifer) ? Just my guess though ...
Well, it's sort of shady that the added value of the individual items ($130+130+50+30+30=$370, micros NFS) was somewhat higher than a bag's ($270), even taking shipping into account. Especially since as they indeed paid wholesale for them, their cut is higher than usual... I mean, I think AA are normally doing a great job, but this is definitely not the best way to go with Lucky Bags.
Rumours of 'em touting for offers via PM for the Mecha Zag that didn't make it into the cabinet . . . blech!
Simple solution if u want to use your influence to purchase bags then dont sell them your store/angelabby name. Sell them through a personal account and no one can really say shit. Not to bring KR into this but they always had specific rules forbidding retailers from reselling blind items.
Oi! Enough of this shit.. More pics! I preordered my LB from AA back in November, so I was thankful to not have to sweat about getting one around this time.. I will report to you all if the bag was tampered with or "felt up" they're pretty thick bags if I recall though.
Yeah, I was waiting for the shadiness to begin. I'm surprised that Gargamel still sells to them after all the mess they have caused over the years.
I have no opinion on the AA thing, but I will say as someone who shipped out a grip of LBs this week, I had no clue as to which ones were more desirable than another. it's pretty hard to tell anything other than their relative weight. Anyway, whatever, where are the pics?! oh here's one from IG user Mildthree View this post on Instagram nothing new, but a nice bag.
Fight the power! SB should still be the premium hub for pr0n. Bring it back, good peoples. That's a dig, right? Ah well. Nice scores, all. Every year the LB thread makes me feel like a total tourist, but I've come to love my annual trip.
I would love to see the mecha zag as a cyborg, with mecha head, one mecha arm, one mecha leg, and the rest regular zag parts. That would rock.
Anyone wondering if there is a painted mixed part zag? Each limb a different paint job. Oh the possibilities!
