Nice score, Jay! Isn't that S7 Members Zag the lowest run production Zag? Seems like someone told me there were less than 20. Beautiful early Zag.
Thanks so much! I dont know about the exact numbers of how many of these were made, but this Subber Zag is one of the most elusive from the first time I started collecting sufubi. I love how the basic colors work together.
I think it was 75 of the Hawaii S7 exclusive and 15 of the subscriber version. Same goes for the S7 flat-faced Hedos.
there isnt enough appreciation happening anymore! everytime i get a gargamel toy in the mail- im always pleasantly reminded about the quality and sheer greatness of their toys.
My Hedos. You cant see the standing guys in the ;ast row though, I need to figure out a better set up.
It's the same color as the bop dragon. But, it was painted on one of the blue blanks that they produced for the customs contest a few years ago. you cant really tell unless you turn him so that you can see the color on the inside. I know somebody has the full sized version of him, which i am very jealous of. The red one with googly eyes is also a koji custom from his LB's he did about 5 years ago.
^^ No "Pink" Balloon my friend. Both garamon. (Pigmon came later and reused the same red suit as garamon.)
There's other differences but here's some info: from an ultraman site. Pigmon is known for being created from a reused Garamon suit from Ultra Q, making them look nearly identical. Usually to differentiate from the two monsters, most marketing groups attach the pink balloon that Pigmon was shot at in his original appearance. It could be theorized that Pigmon was exposed to the magnetic ray that Garamon feed off of.
That's an awfully generous rationalization. But it's a much nicer idea than the plain fact that the Garamon suit from Ultra Q was re-used for (the much smaller critter) Pigimon in Ultraman. It's been a long time since I've seen the episode but if I recall correctly, the Science Team "tagged" Pigimon with the balloon to help track him (advanced science!) ... and the poor fellow was later killed by Redking. Someone correct me if I my memory mis-serves...
