    Got this big beauty on the weekend . . . . £1
Even without his handcuffs thats a total bargain.
    Good condition for his age too . . . . :)

I couldn't fit him in my bag so i had to strap him to the back of my bike.
That got some funny reactions from other road users on my way back home!

Picked up these two Orlando the Marmalade Cat books and two hand painted aluminum signs from the late 1930s I believe. I'm not familiar with Orlando and the books are in rough shape but I love the illustrations!

The Orlando the Cat books are a wonderful series. So full of color. There is an interesting history behind theme...

I have a modern hard-copy version of one of these books. Kathleen's drawings are amazing.

You might want to have those books appraised. They might be worth something (especially if signed by the author!), i.e.

I think you're very lucky to have picked up these. Just having an early edition would be very nice! I would definitely keep them

Thanks for the info Mr. Humphreys! Great story behind the cat.

I believe the two copies I have were printed in 1949, the Keeps a Dog one being a first edition. I will definitely look into getting them appraised!

Of course i dont have the projector.

    1960's box with the wrong slides in it . . . .

This is the thread of my dreams - TOP job, kiddies! :D I'd wither and die without yard sales. Thankfully, we live in an area with 7 GoodWills within a ten mile radius.

I mostly cull modern and boring stuff from the wild, for selling on Ebay, but now and again I'll unearth that 'special treat'. (Can't find goodies ALL the time or else they wouldn't be treats, eh?)
Mexican marionettes, bootleg figures, Chinese GameBoy games, etc.etc...ohhhh yes, these things make the world go round.

As a matter of fact, one of my very favourite fellows I culled from the wild - He is green, about the height of a pint of beer, has HOLES in his face, and is so friggin super awesome that sometimes he makes my heart ACHE just looking at him! Can you guess who he is?

Yay, you get the no-prize! :D
I had to research like a madman to discover his name, ha, it had been ages since I owned one the first time 'round.

"Mighty Atom" ? Is that what Astro Boy is known as over the pond? That second one, the fast food toy, I have seen hundreds of those in various GoodWill bins. Hes pretty neato.

Found Mini-ha-ha on the left recently . . . 1975 (Flying bug on the right is 1972).
Mini-ha-ha's helmet is a bit bashed but i think he still looks cool.

    £1 at a boot-sale.

That appears to be an odd variant color of the series one Exogini line. The history behind the line is pretty crazy. A company called El Greco actually took 40 M.U.S.C.L.E figures and straight bootlegged them. They removed the trademarks from the back of the figures and produced them in a factory with high quality material in lots of gorgeous colors that m.u.s.c.l.e never actually did themselves. It was sold just like a new official toy line and distributed all over Italy and Greece and Holland but all the figures were in fact total ripoffs. They even stole parts from the official m.u.s.c.l.e commercials to make their own. Lots of collectors adore the line now because of the great colors and the cool variants in color that still get discovered every now and then.

^^ Thanks very much for the info :D

I dont come across them very often but i really like them.
They have a nice pearlescent sheen that doesn't reproduce very well in photos . . . and the vinyl is indeed really good quality.
