Ha! So it's not just me! Feels like a giant fluffy monster is sitting on my sinuses. It's horrible I think this is going to be one doozy of an allergy season with so much rain. The Govenor declare the drought as official at an end. The Sierra snow pack is now 168% of normal! I can't breathe
This time of year? In Austin every season brings it own fresh onslaught of pollen. People here are so desperate to get rid of allergy symptoms they actually pay to consume parasitic worms that are suppose to suppress the histamine response.
I have never had allergies until this past week. The cars outside were covered with yellow pollen. I got what felt like a coughing head cold for 2 days and yellow green stuff came out of my nose and it took the rain to wash it all away... it sucked. I had to take Nyquil to stop the coughing and clear my head so I could breath.
omg my allergies never bothered me since i moved to SF but since last night i haven't been able to stop my nose from running. FUCK
YES! That is totally gross, but true! Listen to this great podcast about that topic. ...the parasitic worm under electron microscopy, even looks like a Kaiju! http://www.radiolab.org/2009/sep/07/ At least prescription strength Allegra is now over the counter!
So far so good in PDX even though everyone around me is messed up. Chicago used to knock me out for a week or so each season.
I get up at 530 am to run and it's ridiculous. I'm pretty much redeyed and blowing my nose at 7. However...I'll take pollen any day over the constant rain.
