Seattle's Ezell's. Oprah used to have fried chicken from here FedEx'ed to Chicago. Then she found out the shit makes you look fat.

 

Yep. This is my place for fried chicken! They just opened one down the block from me a few months ago. Their spicy chicken is damn delicious. I like to rip it into pieces and dunk it into the hot sauce they give you which is surprisingly pretty strong considering the small thimble sized container of sauce they give you. Always get a piece of their sweet potato pie, I think that's my favorite part of the entire meal.

 

Oh what I'd do for some chicken and waffles right now...

I second the motion for Ad Hoc's fried chicken. Campanile (on la brea) also does a worthy fried chicken when it's available, honey kettle chicken is a local culver city favorite, and I'm all too fond of fried chicken and waffles on a sunday morning at Bru's Wiffle

I love fried chicken but don't really have any real restaurants I frequent (besides Popeyes/Publix/maybe KFC). Any suggestions in Maryland/D.C. area?

 

This is what I thought of when I saw this thread. I love, and miss, Ezell's.

^^ speaking of Korean fried chicken, here's KyoChon with a few locations here in LA as well as NY. Pretty legit wings.

 

Joe and I went to Ad-Hoc for the first time together and spent 4 hours stuffing ourselves.

It lives up to the hype and now has it's own shack thurs-sun.

 

We dont get chicken and waffles over here, first heard about it on man vs food, what dreams are made of.

 

I went to the shack on Thursday, and was attacked by bees!

 

I hate you all so badly right now... KFC is the only fried chicken place in my town, unless you count Denny's and some crappy truck stop type places. None of the greasy spoons even have chicken worth buying. There is a Thai place that makes scrumptious thai style fried chicken but it's not the same if you are having a craving. I can make some mean fried chicken myself but rarely if ever have the time. Enjoy some chicken for me.
