to ride cesar for a bunch of people throwing shit at each other is ridiculous.

i don't always agree with cesar, but i ALWAYS respect him.

Yep. As I said in another thread, there are always going to be people you don't care much for. You don't have to make a point of letting them know it though.

Also, disagreements are going to occur from time to time. The best people can do is try their best to discuss an issue in a rational and respectful manner. Needless to say, that often does not happen on this forum. When people cross the line, they need to be held accountible for it (me included).

Man is there still going to be a meating in October for the East Coasters ???

I was looking forward to meating Cesar , dont go man !!

We all talk shit about each other but not in a bad way, like JHotrod said its like a college dorm atmosphere. I just think somewhere along the line someone took a joke to serious and next guy didnt see the joke to begin with and thougt it was serious. The the doom domino effect started and the hate grew....

When I first started posting here I got my balls broke and laughed it off. Now people talk shit to hurt each other for real.

I would hate to have these boards shut down for dumb shit like this...

    Damn...

The search button exists and the posts are archived to supply a record of the board, and specifically the various facts about releases and how to go about getting them, pricing, pertinent websites, etc. Bryanarchy's quote is straight zen.

I think this board should exist, if for nothing else, to get the breaking news in english about jp vinyl and access to the latest stuff S7 has for us that don't live in the bay area. From the perspective of people chiefly interested in this sort of vinyl. The % of pertinet to vinyl content and the % of people bitching at each other is off, but how about moderating to the point of erasing the posts after the dust clears, after x number of days without new posts to it. This is practically the encyclopedia to new vinyl, and is often piss yourself funny. It can be again.

Deemranks - Problem with erasing after a period of time is you loose the info along with the shit. It was self erase after a couple ofweeks when the Frum first begun, but we lost info and made it as is. Looks like BST is self erase when it gets knocked back 5 pages.

Cesar, as I have said before, is old skool. He says what he says because he cares. To have his words altered like that is wrong, and as a mod its something I've never considered doing. I personally don't feel that messing with someones own typed words is ever appropriate, even if it includes comments I vehemently disagree with. Respond with comments, but don't alter a man's words.

Anyway, skip this next bit if you don't want to hear me espouse unity ok?

But, lately I too have been feeling a bit depressed about the board, but (don't snigger) I feel I make a positive contribution, and also reap the benefits of positive fruitful interactions, so I continue to spend large amounts of time here. But, some of the stuff that I have seen increasing of late (public beatdowns, homophobic comments, people being singled out and repeatedly flamed, random seemingly unjustified mean personal comments), just makes me sad. Its so not about the great toys we all share a love for.

Someone said to me (in person) recently that when they read my posts its like hearing me talk because I post as who I am. I really felt good about that, because I aim for transparency - I aim for maintaining that non-cynical, non-jaded excitement. But, like many online environments, it seems a few people adopt online persona's, up the bravado because of the relative annoymity online, and post stuff they wouldn't consider saying in person. I honestly believe that things would be better if people asked themselves before they posted personal attacks and the like - do I really want to come out with this negativity, and if the answer is still yes, then would I say this in person, face to face?

At SDCC I met a ton of people from this board, and the vibe was awesome - we all felt like brothers/sisters right? IMO, that's the bar we should aim for all the time in order to keep this board an amazing source of knowledge, creativity and a place to meet cool, like-minded people.

    Toys in, BS out.

PS. This was written over a couple of hours, so hope I didn't repeat too much stuff that may have been said since. Now I have to stay at work late to do what I shoul have been doing then. Oh well, it was worth it. :)

All in all, everyone needs to relax. We all have strong feeling about a lot of us, and there is a lot of wack crap on this board, both in product, people and opinions. For the most part it is heavily outweighed by the good product, people and opinions. We just have to figure out a new way to work it all out, or we are all gonna be on the outs. So, act like your parents told you to -if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. Granted, BS needs to be called, but do it in a nice way, don't go nuts. I don't need WW3 over a bunch of vinyl and internet threads.

Cesar, I got your back so much, I might actually be a jacket. But, the thing is, if you call someone on something, and they call you back on it, it is to be expected. So, while using a "mod" status was lame to tweak your words, you threw down and Frank threw back. That is what I meant by "crossing the line" - you made a line in the sand and frank crossed it, therefore fighting ensued. As we all know, fights are never clean, (that is called boxing), so out came metaphorical eye-gouging and groin pulls. (BTW Frank, quit posting about the KR stuff, there is plenty of internet space elsewhere for that.)

So, we need to clean ourselves up, or you are going to have to spend your entire day reading threads about the latest custom painted toilet lid show, or lifeless toy made by joe schmuckatelly-street-cred-wanna-be on another board. Then we can all lament about "the good old days" together when skullbrain was still around.

I would also add that Ramos made me a mod over there so I COULD screw with trolly posts, which is exactly what i did.

One guy insulted me and another dude so i switched his insult around to reflect back on himself.

Unfortunately, it was the 'wrong dude' to fuck with so you are all up my ass.

Frank; chill out with the mod powers. Cesar busted my balls in my forum and I never even thought about doing that kind of shit. Don't edit forget it!

Cesar, you must have gotten under Frank's skin or he would never have edited your post. It is fucking hard to piss of Frank to the point of making him do something stupid. I doubt I ever could. Color me impressed. (BTW - you can't leave, your the only one that keeps me in line.)

Everyone else, shut the fuck up:

If you are an old member, leave the newbs alone making them look stupid is like kicking a puppy. Pick on other old school (1 year. whoop!) assholes like me. We like to be I FART A LOT slapped. Besides you else are your going to sell all that shit too when you decide to "refine" your collection? I don't plan on buying any split bees anytime soon.

For you new people: Go slow, you will run out of money quick at the rate many of you are going. Believe me, I know, there is always tons of cool new stuff to buy (at retail). It never ends! Spend more time asking questions than making statements or begging for toys. I don't know shit about vintage vinyl but every time I need info I can find it here but I don't start looking in the BST.

I love this board because it doesn't have any rules! It is a fun place to hang out because we are all fair game. I would rather see this board killed than see a bunch of rules implemented. Who is going to enforce these rules? Brian and Isaac don't have time they are busy taking all of our cash. And the rest of us are assholes.
