i have one if anyone is keeping track. this is a big thread and a lot of talk about flipping, but like Muton briefly referenced, i don't hear anyone complaining that Frank just sold so many of his toys. Personally i'm thankful to have picked up the few i got (they arrived, thanks frank!) i'm not really hardcore for or against flipping, but theres always gonna be buyers and and there are always gonna be sellers. i'm guessing this just stings cuz nobody like to see stuff flipped right out of the gate. EDIT: just a double check, this is NOT a dis on Frank for selling!!!!
Alright I'm feeling generous. Unless JHOTTROD for sure wants it, any S7 SUBSCRIBER who missed out on the valentines day black trunks ghostfighter can buy mine near what it cost me. 60 plus 7 shipping in the US. LMK
I have an observation. As most of you know, discussions about "flipping" usually don't get anywhere. I believe that the primary reason is that there is no widely accepted definition for the term "flipping." It's pretty difficult for people to discuss a subject when they all have different understandings of what that subject is. People end up talking AT or PAST one another instead of TO one another. For instance, I define "flipping" as buying IN ORDER TO sell/trade (or buying WITH THE SOLE INTENTION of selling/trading). If I were going to carry on a dicussion about "flipping" with any of you, you would need to know that. Many people's definitions are much broader than mine. Any time someone is selling for a profit, they call it "flipping." I consider this a poor definition because it fails to take into account the fact that many people who sell for a profit purchased their figures because they actually wanted them at the time. People's tastes change over time. You can't fault them for that. If there is ever going to be productive discourse about "flipping," people first need to come to some sort of agreement on what exactly constitutes "flipping." And that hasn't happened yet. It's no wonder that discussions about the subject degenerate so quickly. P.S. I never said I wouldn't discuss "flipping" again. What I said was...
no problem John, gotta spread the love man!! You can thank Isaac for the recent hook ups which sparked my generosity!!
Well, I ended up buying the V-Day special that was on the Bay... it's sitting here on my desk at work as I type this. Woo-hoo!
it was probably the same dude that was trying to sell it in the b/s/t forum on KR message board last week
Now now... it came at a time when a fledgling Ghostfighter collector was getting his feet wet and gave me an opportunity to get something I would've otherwise missed.
