They're acetoned pickles. I couldn't take the paint job anymore and was bored while unemployed.

Cool, got any better pics? How well did the paint come off, I remember reading that it sucked to get off and often didn't, but maybe I misread something. The Chaos eye and clear Bigaro helmet gave them away.

There were so many layers of paint and with all the grooves and what not, it was a major pain in the ass. I'd say they're 99% stripped. There's a little bit of paint here and there but I can live with it.

I actually destroyed the Chaos' head trying to get all the paint off. Luckily people sell them for cheap on here so I picked up a replacement and the paint came off quicker, easier, and better on the 2nd one. My technique, and patience, may have improved also.

I love my clear orange + Suiko shelf, with my earthquake protection wall-of-legos.

This does work because it's just outside a door way, so you do end up with a solid view of all 3 sides.

    see?
I need to clean again... I just generally need to learn to be tidy... ;)

I did however dust all my pirates the other day :D

WOAH! Awesome shelf Backtrack. I hope you snag Sutfin's new sculpt when it drops. It would look crazy with your set-up.

Thanks everyone, I still need to settle on the set up, may shift some stuff around. The lighting in my flat is shit so the Sutfins don't pop as much as they ought to.
But honestly, that GID bop kicks some serious glow ass!

I have warmed to the Mummys, esp the skellator one and that GID, but, yeah, you need a bigger shelf so they can have some elbow room :)

Are you mad?!? The shelf looks perfect I've looked at the pic more today then my own shelves! The eye's on the Bops are so Bright they're Humming! Seriously I don't collect any of the toys on the shelf but the set up is so spot on its hypnotizing. Mucho Kudos.

the container store of course. its "bodum" brand. its perfect for the RI, it doesnt take up a whole lot of extra space, and this guy stays dust free and snazy lookin! i want to find some mirrored plasitc to cut to fit under the cap so he can stand on that.
oh and available here too: http://www.bodumusa.com/shop/line.a...SLT=&mscssid=H0S8RGHK1TJB8H9TS8TUT189XB7FEHN1 theres one with a chrome cap also... i dont remember if i didnt get it since they didnt have it or if it was because it didnt fit.. .

I have had my RI on my top shelf for ages and no problem with dust as yet... but he has been demoted thanks to the Sutfin bops, so he is on my third shelf/second down I'm interested to see if he starts his dust collection now.
That said, between the age of my flat and the cats, my place is one giant dust ball, most of which manages to stay out of the detolf... magically.

I really need to get one of those dirty rub pirates. Well jealous of that!

Oh, and I love the car squid!!!!!!

I started to realize I had quite a few Hawaiian/Tokyo colorways in my collection and had more on the way, so I created a shelf for it. Not as cool as Pogue's but I love it. Hoping to add a few more soon:

The old Bullmark Hedorah's really registered with me. Since I can't afford vintage and M1 does even better paint jobs than the originals, it was a no brainer for me. Can't go wrong with ol' smoggy!
