So I'm customizing a clear Eyezon for a custom Halloween toy show. I have the clear with purple, gold spray, and guts. First off the gold and purple came right off but the gold looks like it stained the vinyl yellow and no matter what I try I can't get the yellow tint to come off. Also I need to remove the guts but for the life if me I can't figure how to get them out without cutting them out. They seem too hard and large to squeeze them and pull them outta the holes. Anyone have any ideas or experience with this?
Use a blow dryer and work slowly to loosen up the vinyl to squeeze the guts out..I also used a pair of needle nose pliers to help get the guts out.
I remember idle. had the same issue with the gold paint remaining: http://skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=35836&hilit=eyezon
There's a big post from me somewhere in that thread where I detail the couple of clear purple Eyezons I've worked on. They actually cut the vinyl between the leg holes to put the guts in, and then reglue it, and superglue works fine for that. The bones are a bit more of a pain, and just require a long plier tool and some patience. As for the clear yellow, it just will not come off... it is some kind of funky factory clear paint that is stained right into the vinyl.
Thanks errwon for the info, I shoulda known it was already covered here. I'm gonna try my hand at the dying process on this fella now that I've been inspired. Wish I didn't have to work today so I could just go paint toys.
