Anyone tuning in? Microsoft conference just ended. My thoughts are: Halo 4 looks stellar. Tomb Raider looks STUNNING. South Park RPG looks hilarious. Resident Evil 6 does not impress. COD: Black Ops-I-Don't-Care-Anymore-Please-Stop-Thank-You.
I don't want to have to use my phone and iPad to play games I already have a hard time playing because of sensory overload. Also I already yell at my T.V. I don't want to have to bark commands at it to watch movie. It's all just novelty that takes longer to use than a few pushes of a remote button.
Yeah, Watch Dogs and Last of Us were CRAZY! Last of Us looks sooo gritty and raw! And I haven't played any of the God of Wars, but dman does that new one looks wicked!
My only impression re: the E3 right now is that Sony wins hands down against MS, based purely on the two new IP shown off in The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls. Halo 4 does look pretty good but not as fresh as the Sony content. Many feel that overall Ubisoft stole E3 and considering that AC3 looks pretty good (alhough I'm not a fan of the series) and Watch Dogs looks fucking awesome I can somehow agree (although I still feel that Last of Us will rule once it hits the stores). Waiting for Nintendo, hoping they'll show off more than just Mario and Zelda HD to make an impression. It's a new console, so they should make some new IP for it in addition to their established franchises.
Microsoft: nothing really exciting. Halo 4 looks great, but why wouldn't it. Game glass does not interest me in the least. Sony: last of us! and Beyond! Wonder books look gimmicky Nintendo: I was the most excited about Nintendo this year... and now I have no interest at all in the wii U. They completely flopped. They did not address any of the criticism they received in the past year since unveiling it. Last Of Us Beyond Watch Dogs VVV yes Tomb Raider looked great VVV
Nailed it. I think we were all fooled by Nintendo. Wii-U is now Nintendo's "current"-gen system. And with some lackluster games. And rehash of old games (Mass Effect, Batman), and a Mario game that is solely made jsut because we like the sound of gold coins being picked up. Last of Us, Watch Dogs, God of War, Tomb Raider, and Assassins Creed III are a HUGE win!
Agreed. This is a little last minute but, anyone in LA(or nearby) and wants to go to E3 on Thursday let me know. I have a ticket but won't be going that day. We'd have to meet up Wed. night if you want it.
