Re: Don't trust 'Sam' or 'Elizabeth Record' Thanks for all the feedback and PM's folks. I got my money back - and SEVERAL emails from Sam... He wishes for me to 'edit' my statements, but I don't see how he deserves that. Basically, he's lost at trying to scam me, but he's still trying to pull a fast one in order to 'save face.' I say - he made his bed and he is going to have to sleep in it. Don't trust that guy.
Re: Don't trust 'Sam' or 'Elizabeth Record' Congrats on getting your money back and a hardy pat on the back for not backing down on it once you were made whole again. Too many people just want to be out of the mess and would do the edit to the detriment of future victims.
Re: Don't trust 'Sam' or 'Elizabeth Record' I don't really read or post on SB, but after getting a text from a friend about this issue, I took a look here & hope it's ok to post what I know for the sake of the community. As you all (hopefully) know, all of us retailers try to do what we can to get toys into the hands of real collectors. We vary release times, don't publish super small releases, set purchasing limits, etc. We don't help people out who are known flippers, but it's getting harder and harder to keep up with and even identify some times. After pulling records for both names, there was no obvious heads up on my side for flipping-looking purchases. All items/orders have been for single qtys or minimums (which is usually 2), and no overlap between names. Definitely not "paying my rent" with amount of orders under these two names either. Sooooo there may be more names out there that we are unaware of, or he could be obtaining more product through boards, etc. Sorry for all those who have been effected, hope this information helps in some way and please know we all (Lulu, Super7, Roto, MPH, the list goes on & on...) try our best daily to get things into the right hands, and it surprises & saddens me to read all this today. But this kind of stuff is the 1%, and the other 99% of you are awesome...so focus on the awesome! xoxo
Re: Don't trust 'Sam' or 'Elizabeth Record' So dude still reads Skullbrain to see what's hot and work the angles for maximum $$$ . . . just more reason not to post pre release information or hype shit to death! Closed forums . . . they're the future!
Re: Don't trust 'Sam' or 'Elizabeth Record' Glad you got your money back Jon. Interesting and saddening to see how many bridges the guy has created and simultaneously exploited and burned. Dissociation is best, but some people still chose to ignore the mess he got himself into by screwing everyone over. I think this would solve a large amount of problems with this board. Regardless of how many times peole stress not posting release info and the like, some people just can't keep their mouth shut.
Re: Don't trust 'Sam' or 'Elizabeth Record' And 2012's Coolest edit, oops, Former Skullbrainer Award goes to... Since you're obviously reading this -- Why don't you just fuck off already? I guess there's no point in asking since you can't answer, but it's just beyond ridiculous.
Re: Don't trust 'Sam' or 'Elizabeth Record' I just want to say that Amy fucking rules and only a true douche nozzle would drag her name into this to try and justify his own actions. Fuck that guy with some dry sandpaper.
Re: Don't trust 'Sam' or 'Elizabeth Record' I do not like where this is heading. Closed threads/sections might be a good thing, not talking upcoming toys no more at all would kill a lot of the fun. Just my 5 Eurocents
