since i know some of you don't venture into the customizing section, i thought i'd post my latest pet project here. i'm making a line of resin figures under the label "dead bear". right now they are all designed and sculpted by me, but the hope is that in the future i can incorporate other artists and produce figures for them. they are all rotocast resin and very much mimic the feel of jp vinyl, while remaining rigid. they don't have that nice softness that some vinyl does, but they have a very nice weight and the amount of detailing allowed by the resin is staggering. here's a brief rundown of the sculpts. the plan is to do two releases a month, one small figure and one large. the editions will be relatively small, around 20 for the minis and 10 for the larger ones. the minis stand 2.5 inches tall an the larger figures are 5-6 inches. there are more one offs on my flickr, and the first release is available at http://deadbear.bigcartel.com. the second release is already in the works thanks for looking the treature the boor (mini) the maw (mini) the mucker the lout the steaklops (zombie version)
you should feel one made out of the new resin i'm using. so nice. feels like nice think vinyl, and it's tint-able. that top one is pale blue resin. i need to send you steak
the next release is actual going to be a slimer inspired version of the lout. it should drop late next week. super7florida should still have some zombie steaks. i have 5 other colorways planned. the packaging i have planned will be awesome raw - open edition frozen - super7florida exclusive grilled burnt rotten i'll update as things progress.
