I'll never forget the first time I heard maggots. Love at first sound. In recent years his oderus twitter account was pretty funny. I signed the petition for gwar to play the super bowl half time show. That would have been something!

 

Wow this sucks.

 

I was not a huge Gwar fan but I saw them several times in the early '90s...

I always got up front and sprayed down.

 

Not a huge fan of GWAR, but I've probably seen them live more then any other band (always opening for other bands I was going to see). Even had the chance to hang out with them (several times) on their smelly tour bus.

Their show at SDCC a few years back still remains a fav...free beer and tequila shots!

Going to miss getting covered in fake blood and jizz

I woke up to the news and was holding, hoping it would be a rumor. Some of the best shows I lived was thanks to him and his band of interstellar conquerors.

the only GWAR show i went to was on halloween (!) night in 1993, and it left a lasting impression on me. saddened to hear of dave's passing...
