My vintage Mr Men collection so far. These were made by MAYCO in Ireland, Co. Mayo. They pop-up for sale hardly ever nowadays but when they do, i try to grab them. I just bought the yellow one second to left on the top row (Mr. Silly sitting on a keg of dynamite). The bagged fluorescent ones have stayed surprisingly vibrant after all these years!

Thanks for sharing those Mr. Men vinyls. It's interesting to see what was made in vinyl in other countries.

No worries, its also interesting to see the bag and header card have been a common way of packaging soft vinyl toys for a long, long time.

Vintage inflatable cushion (i don't think its a buoyancy aid). No idea how old it is, but its pretty old by the looks of it. The stopper is missing but it still inflates OK.

I picked up this excellent book at Malvern Flea and Collectors Fair on the weekend - 'Bonzo the Dog' was a very popular British comic strip that originated in 1922. This character is where the 60's band 'Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band' got part of their name from. Then the band 'Death Cab for Cutie' got their name from a song by 'Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band'.

Apparently he was one of the first original characters to be animated, and one of the first to have extensive merchandising.

How does Malvern stack up against Shepton flea (which is handily 15 minutes from me)? Worth the drive?

Yes, I would say so. The sheds have returning sellers, but the outdoor space is more of a mixture. It's very similar to Shepton, even if you don't buy much you get an eyeful of vintage goodness. I always enjoy the trip.

Vintage Combex Frog. I assumed this was a mini from the photos but its medium to full size (7" high).
