Squeaky toys for the German 'Salamander Shoes' company, around 4.5" high approx. They had a CE mark on the bags so they must be from after 1993. Very nicely made.

Found a bunch of nice vintage Dolphins, and multiples of the erasers from 'Le Treport'. The dolphins have the squeakers in their mouths. I'm assuming both are from the 80's ...

Vintage pooch. The seller said Combex, but Combex paint is not normally this elaborate. There are no makers marks, so i'm pretty sure he's not Combex. Anyway, he's still a good one, about 8" high. I'm trying to guess what the facial expression and raised ear is all about ...

Vintage Rosebud squeaky rabbit with lettuce. He's a bit faded and a few of his fingers have been nibbled, but he was really cheap so i don't care.

    5" high

I've only ever seen this one in an Australian Combex catalogue, but the sticker on the bottom says 'Lincoln Road, Peterborough' which is in the east of England. Still fully working with the original plug, switch and bulb. I wonder when they stopped making electric plugs etc out of Bakelite?!

    Vintage night light ...

'Cheburashka'. Vintage 5" squeaker. I've been searching for this particular version for a few years and finally found it for a reasonable price. The seller was in Ukraine but the character is from Russia. There are loads of plastic Cheburashka but this one is the best IMO.

    It’s perfect
I saw a bunch of different versions of this character when traveling in Russia, but none compelled me! This one would have.

Vintage Pépé Orange Seller ... my guess this is an advertising figure, but i don't know. It was so covered in dust and grime i thought it might be made of clay before i picked it up but he cleaned up OK. Its a soft vinyl squeaker, with the squeak in his hat.

    6" high.

It's a little unnerving that the "oranges" are the same flesh color as the kid.

Yeah, the proportions on the oranges are way off too.

'Mad as a March Hare' ... vintage soft vinyl squeaker. The seller says Russian, but i see no evidence of that. They may be right, but i'm thinking more likely Italian or even American.

    8" high.

4" high vintage Droopy by Combex Creations. He's a junior toothbrush holder, the seller said it was given to his nephew who was born in 1964. I've seen him in an old catalogue, but i've never seen him for sale before.

His eyes remind me of 'Gon' by Masashi Tanaka. Of course, now I want the other version too ... hot pink and lime green, two of the best toy colours ever!
