I have a question. I have a figure with a clear vinyl base. Is it possinle to strip the paint from it without it turning cloudy? I just want to add some glow b.b.'s inside of it. What is the best solvent to use? Acetone? Any help?

if you want to avoid cloudiness, don't let the solvent sit on the vinyl for any length of time. do it near a sink with some cotton balls. wipe the solvent-soaked cotton ball on the toy and then quickly douse it in the running water. this may not work perfectly, but I have done this somewhat successfully. cloudiness is difficult to get rid of. the best paint remover is of course V-Color thinner, but may be hard to come by.

Thanks for the help. I hope it works. I guess I can just take it slow and rinse it often. Does anyone know if heating up the vinyl will help the paint removal process?

acetone will work just fine, and shouldn't make it coudy. it might make the vinyl look dull, but you can hit it with some krylon crystal clearcoat, and it'll bring the shine back
