I got an unpainted flesh Hedorah in, and just could not resist giving him some color. This was done with Montana gold Spray with some highlights done in Golden Acrylic. It's hard for me to get the color of the vinyl that is left showing through with my camera, but it is more intense peach in the spots where I left it. Any critiques are welcome!
Re: Custom m1go Hedorah i love that it was done with spray paint , i really like the colors. nice work
Re: Custom m1go Hedorah Thanks Eric! I don't think that technique will work on every character, but Hedorah looks good a bit overdone. Next week I'll try my hand at a Woo.
Re: Custom m1go Hedorah - Custom Woo added 7/9 A candy Colored Woo they Call the Sandman.... For some reason when I got the Nude Woo in, I thought it looked like a circus peanut, so I kept that theme in mind while painting this "Candy Woo" Not a color scheme for everybody, but I tend to go for candy colored things.
Re: Custom m1go Hedorah - Custom Woo added 7/9 I'm really liking the Woo. Oddly enough it seems to have a nice vintage feel despite the color scheme.
Re: Custom m1go Hedorah - Custom Woo added 7/9 Thanks Leecifer, as an admirer of your work, I appreciate that!
Re: Custom m1go Hedorah - Custom Woo added 7/9 Why is it looking kinda rough in texture? I'm guessing it's from the spray paint.
Re: Custom m1go Hedorah - Custom Woo added 7/9 Yeah, it's an effect of the Spray. One of these days I'll get an airbrush, but there is something I like about the simplicity of hitting it with spray paint and seeing what you come out with.
I Was on a quick vacation to Houston this last weekend, and found a mini pink Eyezon in Domy books. I have an inability to leave unpainted vinyl alone, so I hit it with some color last night. Hard to get the vibrancy of the yellow/ orange vs. the pink in these shots. I am really happy with the fade, think I should touch the eyes up a bit yet.
