Just a note - it has the same innards as the Mav and Dorome, but they were all released at different events.
Naoki has started using a new rub technique which is really cool. Here's a one-off Tripasu with clear body and gold rub. I love the placing of the extra eyes and the fire paint/striping. Goes with the character nicely.
I don't think the eyes are random on this figure. The eyes are integrated into the character's personality instead of just being plastered somewhere.
I like how the second eye was place on the left chest, other than the back of the head which I would've expect, similar to that of the Nougaki.
Yeah the placement finally feels right on this one. Plus, as my GF pointed out, the pupils of two eyes are different. Jurgen - yeah it's from a 2009 LB
very cool....much prefer this to the damage-style pieces. seems like a lot more 1-offs in this years LBs.
it's a cool piece, but I'm still not digging the eyeball shit at all. I have yet to see a piece from the LBs that I'm really bummed I missed...whereas last year I bought two large bags and almost a dozen pieces on the secondary market. thank god for my bank account, which is suffering, I didn't have to spend any dough on the LBs for 2009. looking forward to the next regular release, should it come. or until Naoki stops slapping eyes all over his sculpts.
Naoki isn't only doing the extra eye thing. He's also doing some amazing work with a new rub technique. Here's one you might like:
Can't go wrong with a good Nougaki! Not sure if it shows in the pics, but the body is half clear/half opaque. Stunning effect.
finally took a minute to snap a few shots of some of my Doromes...I have others, but they are still suffocating in bags...some day I'll free them... all hail Dorome! Cosmic. Camo. Stripes. Rainbow. the Lulu unpainted pink had one flaw - the green eye! (sorry luke) I did a transplant...for all-pink goodness.
