The formula: + = A couple of months ago I had the good fortune to visit Brian and see his monster-ous collection. There were many, many amazing drool-worthy toys there, but for some reason I couldn't put down his Charactics translucent green Hedorah. Of the flood of Hedorah toys that have been cranked out in the last couple of years, this one succeeded as pure "hand candy." I had the chance to pick up the translucent clear version at the Super7 store, but I was stupid, so I didn't. A few weeks later I saw a post by ramos about the translucent vinyl that he filled up with glow airsoft pellets (see http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=344). Bloody brilliant. Now I _needed_ that Hedorah to do this with. Luckily I found one pretty quickly, as well as the pellets. Some quick work with a hair dryer, and voila: Now it is heavy with glowie smog monster eggs, and it even rattles. I even managed to photograph the glow effect. I only managed it once and couldn't duplicate it, though. Maybe someone more talented can do something with these shots (flash, darkness, no flash): Oh, yeah, check out the cool header card:
That's great - there sure are a lot of clear figs out there that would go well with those GID pellets. I have an extra Invisible Skull Brain that I'm trying to think of something fun to do with.
Please do it, I'd love to see the results! Call up sporting goods stores to see if they have them. My local Dick's had them, $8 for 2,000. If you can't find any, I'm sure I can spare a couple hundred or so. ;p
I think I will - the good thing about pellets is you could shake them out and do something else later.
Yeah, VERY strict on anything gun like here. I know you need a gun license to play paint-ball in my state (Victoria).
