Hi All - I saw this hand painted piece at a local thrift store yesterday and immediately fell in love. Picked it up for a great price and when I got home I discovered the back had a hefty signature and stamp! Unfortunately I am totally unfamiliar with the era and artist but would love to find out more about it. I believe its Japanese Kanji its in Chinese, thank you @SstatusSkuo - if someone here is able to translate or give insight, it would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance
It is Chinese actually. I can only make out the 3 characters on the left side, it reads "mother-child relationship/love". Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
yes Chinese, i think the rest is the artists name great painting tho, love the look on the face of the kitten trying to get some milks! used to see similar ones at an Asian grocery store I went to in the 1980's
