Candy Apple Chaos

Here's one of the pieces I've been experimenting with as I get my feet back into doing some customs again... the Candy Apple Chaos:

I think the pictures actually make it look better than it does in person.

It's still a work in progress, but I have to finish a Bander before continuing on with this one.

 

Love the gloss and the rich colors, but you need a wooden stick somewhere to call him candy apple...

 

Looks great Keith and the name is perfect. I can feel my fillings being pulled from my teeth right now!

Is there glow paint inside?

 

No... it's actually a white pearlescent paint on the inside. It looks pretty neat up close, but there's no way to photograph the pearly look of it - it's way too subtle to register.

Ah, pearlescent, I should have known! It really makes the figure look coated or glazed. I also love how the finger tips and toes show clear using this technique.

I guess you will just have to send it to me so i can check it out for myself.

 

Now roll it in nuts.

Fantastic, I'd like to see a neon-green eye though for contrast.

Saw this in person and it was amazing in the light.

It would have been sweet if you could've painted the bumps on his head like nuts.

Heh heh... love the "header" artwork...

I never liked nuts on candy apples... the clear candy was so pretty, and the nuts just made it look messed up to me.
