I'm going too, I was planning on going at the opening but I'm getting called in overnight so I might go late depending if I feel like I need the sleep or not.

I might be there tomorrow. Depends on if I can get all the stuff I want from record store day in at one place.

Hahaha I forgot about that and work in a record store part time! I got to go through everything we're getting last weekend. Meh, nothing for me. A bunch of Pantera vinyl reissues and some other crap I could care less about.

I'm just interested in the QOTSA EP and the double black moth super rainbow LP. Permanent records opened at midnight so I got the qotsa release, but missed the bmsr. Going to try reckless later. Where do you work?

I work at Rolling Stones in Norridge 1-2 days a week. It's gone way downhill but it's fun to work there. I've been there on and off for 5-6 years now.

I know we had some QOTSA and Them Crooked Vultures things, can't put my finger on what. Don't remember having the BMSR but like I said, I totally forgot most of it except the Pantera reissues and an Elvis Costello EP and some Black Lable Society crap.

Rogue Wave is supposed to stop by too and do something. Rise Against asked if they could do something there and the owner said no. Hahahha I have no clue why but it would have pulled in lots of people.

C2E2 was pretty rad, listening to Kevin Conroy and Max Brooks was worth the price of admission alone. Next year, I'm really going to wait on buying tickets though, I think I could have got away with really only going one day. If any of the C2E2 guys are reading this by the way, MORE VINYL!

I went too, I'm not a big panel guy so I just milled around for a few hours. Great show, nice size and it was loaded for what it had to work with. I bought an old Sy Snoodles candy holder and some 1/2 off trades and that's about it. I could have spent more but was totally holding back. Also my daughter was freaked out by Brobee from Yo Gabba Gabba.

I had a lot of fun just walking around. I was disorganized & missed the panels completely. It was great to see just plain old comics sellers there from all around the Midwest with big displays of golden & silver age stuff. The highlight for me was the Top Shelf booth with the Swedish Invasion guys and Nate Powell. I also thought McCormick Place was a great venue. It has windows!

I was impressed by how many artists were there. It would've been nice to see a non-superhero comix better represented with Picturebox, Drawn & Quarterly etc., or maybe a small-press area.

Nice meeting TrimTrabb at the Nerdcity party although I totally missed the show...in the basement just talking to people!

That Brobee is fucking terrifying in person. The proportions of the guy are just so unnatural. You should see how kids react to the life sized Moono!

It's funny that her fear doesn't transfer back to the TV version. We watched it when we got home and she was freaking out (good way) and saying "bubee" and "mwuwo" (brobee and moono) and in love again. I would assume DJ Lance Rock to be the MOST frightening in person.
