Here are my final two ICFSB2 pieces. These guys are a tribute to the classic Taito game Bubble Bobble.

The challenge here was reconciling the "cuteness" of the Bub & Bob characters with the "bad-to-the-bone-ness" of the Balbagon sculpt.

I still have to take proper pictures with a white background and all that, but after a bunch of work dyeing, spraying, and hand painting here's what I got.

Hope you guys like them and thanks for looking. If you're attending the show, I hope to see you there! 8)

    Thanks, Future_Man!

Thanks, dude. I should have included the song in the initial post. Here it is for anybody who wants to have it knocking around in their brain for the rest of the day (or week/month/year).

I see Trogdor in the green one  These are really sharp, and the colors are excellent. I may have to try out dying if I ever get another clear figure to dick around with.

Really clean work, as always. I remember you telling me about these customs at the tradefest last month... glad to finally see them.

You should show these to Dream Rocket. Bet he'd get a kick out of it.

Thanks, man. I know you're into Dream Rocket so I really appreciate the compliment (not that I don't appreciate everybody else's).

I actually showed Yajima-san a crappy cell-phone WIP pic at the KISF show a few weeks ago. His face lit up when I told him how inspiring his work is to me. He got all flattered. It was awesome. I grabbed one of his cards at the event, I think I'll shoot him an email.
