You know, I was looking at that on my small cell screen and didn't see the paint issue. Maybe there was some fuzz in the paint when they dipped his beak? I would contact Marusan and see what they say. Maybe they can bring a new head to me in Vegas and I can ship it to you.
I emailed a photo to Marusan and they were incredibly apologetic. They sent out a replacement immediately no questions asked. In retrospect, I should have just asked for the head like you mentioned - but the thought didn’t even cross my mind! Thrilled they made it right though. Appreciate your offer to help.
