A painted one of these is up there with my most wanted current toys at the moment, but the prices for every one of em I come across are coo coo crazy, at least for me. I'm very excited for the VAG versions to be released soon. NN is by far Izu's best sculpt and being such a hard toy to come by, this was an excellent decision to make minis for the masses. Congratulations again on the score. She's a devil of a fish.
Thanks, JP! I've actually had this crimson mermaid since DCon 2015! I'm hard pressed between this one and the Toxi Eater for favorite sculpt, but I do fully intend on keepin' it blank!

I have to confess, I bought VAG versions of a lot of toys because I can't afford the originals they're based off of.
theres some toys that i dont care to have full size figures of, so gacha sets are a nice compromise lol
Everything Angel Abby does is expensive. The Lucky Bags for the Hellboy and Masao Maki were $400 each, I think. And that was for a single blank GID or clear.
Honestly, the hellboy and masao maki seem way more worth it. I mean not really 400, but definitely more worth it than a couple three inch cats. Plus, (I should probably keep this secret) I've seen those bgt cats on mandarake for 200 bucks. Way better price. Which is strange. Cause it's mandarake
@taviq Considering I’ve a bought blank Ningyo for $150, $400 is that much more ridiculous to me for a single blank. So I can’t at all even say it’s “kind of” worth it. The BGT Cats are less than appealing to me, personally, and the price is even worse for the 3”. No idea how much the large ones cost. Regardless, my opinion about AA and their prices hasn’t budged.
i feel like izumo himself is almost always fair with pricing. ningyos and shikabanes for $100-$150 and $300 one offs. but im sure people paying closer to $1k for a single bgt piece might have something to do with the price of stuff currently
Yeah, i can't get into his toys as much as id like to if they are going to almost cost me an entire paycheck every time i buy one. Now if it was more than just one figure and a bunch of other stuff added on to a regular run of the toys id see more of why the price was even like that but for a single figure that is not even a one off id have to pass.
6 inches is like standard action figure size. So your right that its not small. But they are not very big ether.
If they’re painted I don’t think that’s horrible. I wouldn’t necessarily get down on it, ‘cause I don’t really like the Cats, but Izumo’s paints are amazing in my opinion. And I can see that being worth it since his one offs are usually around the $300 - $400 range.
Unless RxH Cats have spiked to $150+ each retail, I don’t think they’re comparable at all. If I remember correctly, Mori - San’s Cats are $80 retail, and two inches taller at 8”.
