8 years later... While I have no way to verify this, I suspect the one on clear pink vinyl is a paint sample for the version that eventually became Super7's exclusive Hawaii Beetlar at SDCC 2008 (so long ago!). Both of these popped up around the same time, from the same seller. The paint work on the clear pink figure is equivalent to any of the production Beetlars, and shares some of the stylistic choices seen on the other releases. The clear Beetlar ultimately became the collaborative release with LiLJAPAN.
IDK also who was buster call? I feel like it's easy to find out who is who but I'd still love to find out what "Anraku Ansaku" looks like. It wouldn't change things but always curious.
The only thing I remember is that Kiyoka said he helped his friend make a toy. And it was beetlar. I don't think he sculpted it... maybe just mentor him a bit.
Another mystery Beetlar. No signature on the foot, so I don't think this was painted by Gargamel (despite the camo paint). I strongly suspect that it is a one-off by Buster Call, and not just a random custom. But if anyone knows more, please share.
