BASK Trade Fest 2011?

hey folks,

i know it's been quite awhile since we had one of these, but i thought i'd post up a quick thread and see if anyone wanted to consider getting the gang together again to hang out. i know quite a few things have changed since our last trade fest also, primarily the move to haight and slight change in staff. however, i don't know how greatly this affects the likelihood of having another trade fest.

well, just thought i'd throw it out there and see if any of the locals would like to work together on this. unfortunately, i'm pretty busy with work and don't really have much to trade at the moment. perhaps i'm just looking for an excuse to see everyone again

(yes, i know we have the one-off show coming up at the end of the month. i just thought something else outside of a show would be cool)

 

Brian had mentioned something about this for the day of the show (Say 29th), but I didn't hear any additional word?

 

oh sweet, that could actually work out really well considering a lot of local members are participating. great way to tackle both in one event

brian, any further thoughts or ideas?

 

i'm down... i'll bring a bag of stuff (assuming i don't forget about the show)

We'll give the show an hour or so and start up the trade fest around 7-7:30.
He may even lock the doors to keep out the customers and riff raff so Kirkland can drink his beer in peace!!!

This will be fun! Just a thought--Brian and team are really nice to let us use the space, so maybe we should do this as a BYOB event. Or trade beer for toys....

hmmm...I'm sure some people will bring the same old stuff. I don't think I have anything this time around but I'll look through my boxes.

 

Someone should drag Joe out of his retirement and tell him to bring his unwanted toys for sale/barter! Anyone in recent contact with him?

haha, well...i guess by referring to BASK, Joe should definitely be included in that group. hopefully he can come out.

 

Joe will be there. In fact, Joe's in the show. It's his swan song so to speak. One more show and he's getting out altogether. He will be bringing most if not all of his toys to Tradefest to either sell or trade. If you have specific wants, send him a PM with the title: "GIVE ME YOUR TOYS MOTHERFOCKER...!!!"
