Is there a general Rainbow thread? Is this the first non-Barom they've done? Sorry for the questions, but getting info on Rainbow is tough.
Very nice michael ! I like the portrait treatment on the geruges. I did some myself some time ago (check my flickr for bigger size):
Just coming across Rainbow's work. Some AMAZING figures here! This is probably the best spot i've found with info on their releases, thanks! The hunt begins!!!
Can anyone give me info on this guy: 435 by malinablue, on Flickr Missed him on Mandarake this morning and am really bummed, as I like him a great deal. The title said he was part of the Monster Workshop series, Five Rangers Kamen Phantom. Tiger Mask. Never seen him before and can't find anything on the web, so I am assuming (sadly) that he must be really hard to find. cindy
Can't see the pic, but I assume this is not a Barom 1 guy, but one from the other Rainbow line, Goranger ?
I'm sorry for digging up this old thread after 10+ years, but I had to post this to add to the database: I hate posting in-bag photos (because I'm terrible at taking them), but I also wanted to show the header card. Still debating whether or not to defrock it. So, I believe this is the fabled hand-painted early release of Udegeruge. The header card says that it was a 2005 C3 version (C3 was, or eventually became, C3 x Chara Hobby), which would put it in the very early years of the Rainbow Barom-1 figures. However, the base vinyl is definitely black and not dark blue (the checklist on this thread lists the hand-paint as using dark blue vinyl). I haven't seen photos of the hand-painted version, so I just have to assume that is what it is, since it does not match any of the other known versions.
Whoa! thats amazing, not sure I've ever seen that version! This figure was already tough, the blue variant was already tougher, this one makes me want to throw in the towel, haha. Great score!
