i'm def a music fiend....the last few years i been addicted to all that proto-metal that was birthed in the late 60's to mid 70's.
Bands like Leafhound, Sir Lord Baltimore, Jerusalem, Mountain, Pentagram, Blue Cheer

anyone else diggin on any of that type stuff?

Great bands, although the term proto-metal is new to me.
'Grower of mushrooms' has some absolute classic tracks on it.
    Other bands
Dust, High Tides, Road, Valhalla, groundhogs, Bloodrock
Thought it was just called 'stoner rock'

I've love some neo-proto like The Devil's Blood and Cauchemar but the real stuff leaves me meh.
They make me want to put Sabbath on.

yeah i think that is a safe catch-all term....its like Proto Stoner, Doom, Metal...all that stuff....the scene was huge!

    Captain Beyond's albums are great!
    Hard Attack from Dust...FUCKIN SHREDS!!

and all the new bands with that 70a's vibe are killer too- Priestess, Devil's Blood, Noctum, Burning Saviors, Witchcraft, Lord Vicar, Graviators, Blood Ceremony!

in all of that though, Sabbath def takes the cake...no one with that sound and consistency before or after....
my fave band of all time has to be Pentagram...40 yrs in the Underground and still true to that 70's doom vibe! ...they're amazing
