So when those red boxes flashed, and it had a number in it, were they saying how long it took to do each figure? If so, it takes 37 minutes to do the vinyl and 40 minutes to paint each figure. That video was so awesome. Japanese toys are such an art, truly. My appreciation for this hobby and way of life grows so much more each day. Totally rad!
Coming in a little late here, but thanks uploader for this!!! Not at all what I expected, I knew the vinyls were not produced in typical 'factories' per say...but geez, really small Nice to see that those involved seemed very happy and enthusiastic about their work.
Sorry for missing out on your earlier reply, Roger. Must learm to be navigate this forum better. Amazing video. SB is definitely not 101 stuff...more like post gradute. I bow before you.
Good thread very informative! Can't get enough of seeing this behind the scenes style stuff. It makes me love all my vinyl even more!
Nah the guys been doing that for 37 years! and the other guy 40 years! If they've been doing it for so many years without a face mask it cant be all that bad.
Some nice pictures of the factory here: http://toypunks.blogspot.com/2008/11/toypunks-vol-2-obitsu-factory-and-vinyl.html Can't wait to see that footage!
