The joysticks on my daughter's switch lite started dying a little while back. I added "replace the switch lite joysticks" to my ever growing list of things to do. In the meantime, she got herself in trouble and had her tech taken away. The switch sat for a few weeks before I got around to the repair. While it was a bit more involved than I was expecting, I got the joysticks replaced and got the switch lite put back together. Given that it had been sitting for awhile, I plugged it in to charge for a bit. After an hour or so, I tried to turn it on, but to no avail. It felt warm to the touch, so it seems like the battery had been charging during that time. Plugged it back in to charge overnight, and still nothing. After opening it up and checking the connections, everything looked fine. I checked the ribbon cables and everything appears to be secure. The only thing I can think of, is that the battery is actually not charging, because it was so drained when I did the repairs. EDIT: I checked the battery and it’s all charged. If anyone has any tips or advice, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Not sure if this will help, but try doing a search.... https://www.google.com/search?q=how...droid-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
@wingnut0 help videos suggest playing with the power and home reset buttons. Video below shows you how to hard reset the battery--riskier, just don't fudge up the thermal paste and be careful setting the screws back on the case. Also plug the charging cable directly into a wall outlet when trying to do the button reset method. Good luck!
I'm no expert but I've seen many posts that suggest if you leave it switched off and unplayed with for a while, this can happen. Although, a few weeks doesn't seem very long.
This is a few years old and was given to us by a friend who stopped using it. It has had multiple spells of not being used for extended periods of time. Maybe this last time was the one that did it in.
