this sucks. I love cowboy bebop. I made my wife watch the whole box set with me, and she even enjoyed it. I doubt she'd ever seen 5 minutes of anime in her whole life, and she's since asked to watch it again with me. this is a tragedy waiting to happen. I'm hoping hollywood doesn't have GITS on its list...
Wonder who's going to do the music. Because honestly, half of why Cowboy Bebop was so good is the score.

Exactly. I don't care really. It doesn't affect me since I won't go see it and anyone who thinks it's awful should JUST NOT GO. You know, though, how many hard-core fans will still dish out the money just to find something to complain about when, in the end, they're just supporting it by giving it cash.
What I loved about all of the GITS series and movies is the complexity of the story. If they keep the story it might be interesting...
That is the one thing they will lose, for sure. GITS has two (or 3 if you count the Solid State) movies that are outstanding, they don't need to be remade.
CB is one of my favorite anime series of all time. I instantly had to go out and buy the box set once I saw the first few 5 or 6 episodes. I hate that they're doing a live-action american adaptation of it because no matter how much I hope it will be good or even come close to the original, it will be sub-par at best.
Ugh! Why can't Reeves just make the bestiality porn he was meant to and leave it at that! So many fine English actors (and more than a few Americans that can pull off a passable accent) and HE got to play Constantine!!!
