Sometimes in just takes patience instead of cash. I first remember seeing Taigan on ebay some 10+ years ago(seems like, not really sure). I did not know what it was but it was stuck in my head from that time on. Based on the rarity and the crazy prices when one would pop up, I never imagined being able to obtain one. I was so happy when yamanaya was going to reissue it, but that would never really be the same. Even the beautiful Enterprise version was not enough. So after many years the quest came to an end. In my opinion one of the coolest vinyls made Welcome Party other random newbies
great pictures too! You should add them to this group on flickr... http://www.flickr.com/groups/vintagekaiju/ "Bullmarks on Parade"
Congratulations on your new score. Looks to be in really good condition also. I really like the pic with the og looking at the reissues, they look great together.
i would almost say that is my favorite kaiju that you own, but i keep thinking about that hawaii angilas that you bought in that shop in japan. totaly sick vinyl at an even sicker price. i cant believe how fast you recieved it from japan.
Wow that's great you found a long long want. I tell you that Taigan is a figure that really intrigues me. I have to resist getting one but I often find myself looking for some.
There's something about the more matte finish of vintage vinyl that I find really appealing, and works much better on a guy like this that the super-shiny modern repro vinyl. Is it just caused by handling over all these years, or were they like that to start? Definitely an amazing score.
Yeah, except the EP red (middle) and Bullmark flesh (far right), they are repros by Yamanaya (formerly Tsuburaya Communications).
pretty damn skippy. ol beardy ears looks nice in all his colors. what the hell is that thing in the bottom left of your newbies pic? it literally makes me shudder because it looks so much like a house centipede... if you don't know what those are, google them. they're incredibly fast and seriously freaky. nice shot though.
