I echo all these sentiments! They definitely make collecting any of their lines pretty doable. Slow and steady always wins the race. Gargamel rules! Thanks for the great pics mark!
I want to know what Mark carries around in that book bag to every event, what secrets are hidden in that bag ??
Thanks for the great photos, Mark. Some nice gear, but I wish Gargamel would do micro-runs, limit them to say 5 pieces, of the more popular ones. I'm sure that they would sell out.
Not really "Bawww!!!" More kind of "FUUUUUU!!!!11!" It's not the first time I've felt stitched-up at a Gargamel event. Remember the time there were like 30 people waiting in the freezing cold for the Thrashout/RM Pharaos that was advertised in Hyper Hobby, and there turned out to only be 10 of? Don't think u were around back then actually. I like Gargamel well enough - the Globby plane is one of my favorite toys this year - but I don't collect customs as a rule. Katope's stuff is very nice (he could certainly teach Dead Presidents a thing or two) but would be more suited to A N O T H E R B O A R D if you ask me. The only thing I'd have bought today, given the chance, was that mini-Hedo set. Srsly, congrats to whoever scored that. But 10000 each for those mini-zags? I was shocked Sir, shocked and appalled. Honestly, I'd have been less pissed if it was a regular run and I'd just got there too late. However there was NOTHING NEW THERE for the regular fan/collector today. 'K, I'll shut up now ... continue fawning.
Alice, the prices blew my mind also, but I'm speaking on how reasonable they all seemed to be. The KaToPe Mibora was 25,000 That is unheard of for a KaToPe piece. Most of the Kiyoka customs were 20,000. That is for a 1/1 custom. I think that is an extremely solid price! Most of the minis or crouching figures were from 5000 to 6500 yen. I think you have to take time and effort into consideration on the mini camo Zag. Sir, you need to relax have a cup of coffee, smoke a cigarette and breath. It was an incredible show and I'm sorry I left before you got there. It would have been nice to see you again.
damn, so many amazing customs, thanks for the pics mark!! nice to now be able to put a face to katope.
crouching deathras in the luckybags anyone?? seriously is it just me or is the croucher looking quite feminine edit: gk-26
thats a crazy lens hes using.. bit too wide imo but still really nice to see some more photos Seems like everyone is freakin out over all the standard size customs but seriously check those minis out the Beralgon customs look especially awesome. ill get to a show like this one day...
