Really great linework. Once you get it, it flows and flows. Nemesis is a big fave. Someone reprinted the 2000ad stuff in color, unless I’m confusing that with new work that was printed in its own comic. Maybe both occured. Gosh, it sure has been awhile!
They did a lot of colourised reprints for the american market with varied results, possibly one of those. I of course prefer the b/w because that's how I originally read them. Much like Alan Moore's Swamp Thing.
Titan Books/Forbidden Planet. That was a good idea, the b'n'w editions. Color registration on the original US graphic novel editions was atrocious. Inconsistent in the individual DC issues, too.
Some US company got rights to alot of 2000ad stuff - Rogue Trooper's one I recall - and printed them on really crappy, rough paper. Awful print jobs.
Someone did Nemesis stuff on glossy paper in individual issues and it looked fantastic; the bloody reds were outstanding. Can't recall who did them or if they were reprints or orignal work, however it looked great.
