Yeah I checked out pics (never been either) and it looks lovely. I can deal with the sticks but I need close proximity to a big city. I'm definitely a city person. Also snows a ton in winter and I'm a summer guy. I don't know might have to bite the bullet though as I'm sick of not working and maybe they hire me?

Dude! Lake Placid is pretty nice. Took a vacation there when I was younger. If I'm to be completely honest, I didn't enjoy it because I was terribly constipated the entire time, but it was pretty there. Good food too.
