Ha ha ha this is an awesome idea. Now all you need is a generic landscape or laser background. Love it keep it up
Did somebody say laser backdrop? Edit: Now with a version more true to the old types. Hedorah Laser by Doug Hardy, on Flickr
Thanks @TattooDougHardy next level for this thread is for boardies to post themselves holding their fav toy in this style of portrait...
Kittee is so adorable!!! Ok, can you please help us amateurs out and post instructions on how you are isolating the toy image and creating that fantastic fade effect on the "background blow up"? I would love to try this with Tiger 7!
I'm a terrible amateur with Photoshop but I took a couple photos of Hedorah against a white background. I opened three documents in PS (one each Hedora photo and one of the laser backdrop). I used the Magic Wand tool to select the white background of the Hedorahs and then deleted the background. I then inverted the selection and copied and pasted the first Hedorah onto a new layer over the laser backdrop, then moved it around until I liked the position. I did the same with the second Hedo pic of the side look, then used the eraser tool at a low opacity and very soft edge to erase what parts of that pic I didn't want. I then positioned and sized the side view Hedo, reduced it's opacity, and put it on the layer behind the foreground Hedo. Saved as a .jpg and uploaded it! I'm sure somebody who actually knows how to use PS can tell you a better way.
Finally found some time to take some more school portraits.. thanks for the laser background @TattooDougHardy ! View this post on Instagram
