Nice set man, glad to see some Sunguts coming around these parts. What's that crazy coral fella if I might ask?
Its 'Hikiniku' from The Medicom Vag series 3 I like the pink version best, so i was happy to score him . . .
They are called Uraname. I think its one of the older Sunguts sculpts, they are not so easy to find nowadays. I've seen a few unpainted clear ones on YJA recently.
Those are all GeGeGe characters, I guess? What's the sarcophagus-looking thing? I guess it opens and a mini fits in there? And it looks quite a crowd gathered to check out the new guys
@Odibex Yes they are from one of the best Kitaro story called "The beast", there are another great set with the beast himself (I have to find the pictures) from this story to. It's a stone that keeps the catfish out of Mount Fuji :
Heh, right, of course. Sounds reasonable! You know, I have at least five toys from that franchise, but I've never read the manga or seen the anime. In fact, in that second pic, that bald monster/yokai? The Max Toy version of that is on my short list of things to buy. I nearly got it with my last order. Shelterbank has a version of that guy, too. They do have arms, though, I can't tell if that guy has arms? Oh, one other thing, you'll know this. This old guy with the staff, I was looking at the Sunguts version of him and I was going to pick it up, but I noticed it looked like the symbol or kanji on his torso was a sticker. And it's not on a flat surface, so it didn't look that great. Was that actually what I was seeing? I've never heard of that. I just ended up getting this cheap (non-Sunguts) keshi. And thanks for the pics! Always cool to see where stuff comes from. The Sunguts catfish looks pretty nice.
Yes, it's a sticker. I've never seen any others with stickers but Fedhai said previously that the limited edition Nezumi Otoko did. His name is Konaki-jijii. He poses as a crying baby and then when picked up by a passer-by grows to full old man-size and clings onto his victim until they die. Although in Kitarou, I think he is basically just an old guy with a staff. Picked up this resin figure of him recently
The transparent/fleshy spines on these are wild: Really amazing soft vinyl, almost feels delicate in hand: Good thing these cute little uglies don't mutate any larger.... right?
