2017 was a fun year. All except for the Jumora were from my (first ever) trip to Japan. Would love to go back in 2018!
^^^LOVE the iceberg setup! Is that new? Can you please tell me who made the squid toy and what is that blob that looks like the squid's dinner? Thank you! ...nice toys too
It's the "marine life" set by akaikutsu club. There's a nautiloid, trilobite, dunkleosteus and the tiny guy I forget.
Congrats on landing one of the Akaikutsu Club sets... I seem to keep missing them whenever they pop up. Those Marmit (?) reptiles are great, too. They seem to be a good size. I may have to keep an eye out for those.
The straight shell orthoceratoid is my favorite! I should've noticed there were no fins attached to the mantle, and it was instead, a shell!
@Mark K - Love those Yellow Wolf reptiles! I have two of the Gavial, but still looking for a croc and gator.
Hard to narrow it for sure this year. 1. Acquired black magic witch hunter 2. 1 off 8 bit Jason Voorhees Sam Heinous 3. Wing Pirate with Orm arms. 4. 1 off LED Boss Carrion. 5. HP/Stippled SkullHevi
The one on the left looks almost like Teresa's Inu-Harigon dog. Also really loving that glitter Kumon!
Not the best of photo, yet the best of toys 2017 Limiting yourself to 5 is hard, but looking at the collection of toys in this picture is pleasing. So these are my favorite pickups of the year. It’s good fun seeing what other collectors have find most satisfaction and happiness in. So many great toys in here and some I have no to little check on. Still a long way to become a master... Here’s to a great 2018 for us all!
Great to see all the different selections from everybody's collections. Here are my top five that were the most fun:
Broken record here.. But it was extremely hard to pick only five favorite toys for the year, 2017 was such a fantastic year for my collection. So many wonderful pieces acquired through a lot of good people here on the boards, a handful from dear friends, and then just through luck and dedication.. I feel very grateful for everything, and am happy to be part of such a great community. So! Here are my top seven!! (Zodiacs I'm counting as one, also Marilla with his smaller counterpart.) @deafmetal Nice grouping there Mark! Are both the blue and red Gojis by Toygraph? And can you please tell me a little more about the Gorosaurus (new version? maker?) ? Thanks! @Lttr Prssd , I also adopted that monster popsicle!
Glad you picked one up. There were a few different versions available at DCon, but I had made a rule to not buy variants of any toys I already owned. Plus they were kinda overpriced. Still, one of my faves of last year.
@Mr. Humphreys - Thank you, Grace. The two gojis are vintage blow mold bootlegs. The Gorosaurus is a recent Marusan reissue that was released in a lucky bag with the giant Tokyo Tower.
@deafmetal Thank you for the info Mark! I totally forgot about those seamlines! I need another cup of coffee. It's wonderful that you managed to coral both blue and red! I also didn't realize the Goro came with a tower!
@deafmetal Hands down, the luckiest lotto draw I’ve ever gotten. @Paulkaiju hosted are Stramger Factory, and I was the second number called, ‘cause the FIRST number was nowhere to be found!!! No idea who that was that went missing, but thanks!
