M1 booth at G-Fest. You don't really see what is for sale, just the craziness that was going on. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10209545764782488 Dealers room starts at 13:55. Starting at 17:40 is M1 table on Saturday.
I've been seeing lots of controversial posts on Facebook about how dealers raided the M1 tables before doors opened.. bad form
I was there at G-Fest, I got a ton of goodies from the M-1 Table! Lots of amazing stuff there. Here's what all I got there, some Marmits and Bullmarks mixed in there, but a lot of M-1 in there too.
You can see me in the background of the first video above, at our ChibiGojiToys tables. I was talking to someone and watching the hoards descend on M1... i visited them Sunday afternoon and they still had a number of tiny guys to sell as they were packing up... they are delightful folks, Michi and Yuji! They may return again next year.
@Gojigirl - Hope you had a great time Linda. Your set exclusives are amazing. Makes me blue that I wasn't able to attend and enter the lotto.
Not that I want to blow up attention to them (I know, right, but anyways) does anyone have any info on the new Sanda/Gaira set coming out? I would really love to give my money to Yuji directly whenever possible, and this is going to be tops on my list, as I am sure some of you know.
@chimply.kaiju - Excellent photos, Anthony. I believe you are my favorite M1GO photographer! That GMK is a beast.
Beautiful photos, Anthony. I am really loving these wonderfully shot revisits of excellent older M1 toys. I am not much of a Heisei fan, but these are incredible original sculpts from Yuji, and definitely win me over. The quality and paintwork is stunning, and you've showcased them beautifully. Excellent that you have the points token too (but watch out for those aging elastics, anyone reading this!).
Thanks guys. Surprisingly the elastics have not gone brittle and dried out after all these years on any of my M1 that have these point tags.
That's pretty good man. I know that most of the aging on these is sped up by prolonged sealing away inside the bags, so any opened ones are probably relatively fine, but elastics do age fairly easily (the plasticizer that softens them and lends to their elasticity gradually dissipates), and I have seen some reaction - which may or may not be related to this - on the paint of the figure with prolonged contact. Again, nothing to really worry about or start pulling your hair out, just a word of caution to keep your eye on when you are going in for an occasional dusting or photo shoot, whathaveyou.
Yuji posted the painted version of these Wonder Fest exclusives for this Sunday that are not up on the M1GO site. Some more love for M1 from my own collection.
I'm on that set. I don't care what lengths I have to go through. M1 GID anything + I own every painted version of the Gargantuans M1 did = MUST HAVE!
@chimply.kaiju you're killing me Anthony Please post a pic of Sanda if one is shown! Man how many years have I been hoping that a GID set of these guys would be made? I really hope some make it to aftermarket.
I prefer Bear Model's Sanda and Gaira sculpts, but these are effing gorgeous. Baltan looking good as well.
