Hey guys, I just joined. I got into this sort of thing when I was 4 or 5 years old and obsessed with Godzilla. Nearly 18 years later and I am just now rediscovering the world of kaiju, because of artists like l'amour supreme. I really came here to learn as much as I can about creating my own kaiju toys. I have some experience in casting metal figures, but I have never tried plastic. If someone could direct me to a thread for beginners to toy creating or some general advice to where to start, that would be sick.
Welcome Floating Head! Since a lot of the people making their own toys have come into the hobby via resin working, reading through the discussions in that subforum is probably a good place to start. Plus you already have the metal casting experience, which is at least partways there (resin is obviously much easier to work with). There are a lot of people on here who can have decades of experience between them, so I am sure you will be able to learn quite a lot and benefit from the information and feedback here.
Hey everybody. Getting into mishka bootlegs so a friend from convict town told me to join this forum. Looking forward to learning more about toys and art pieces and getting to know everybody.
Whats up SkullBrain Hi everyone obviously I'm new here. I have recently started really liking Paul Kaiju's work. and now i need to start collecting a few pieces. I was recently at the TAG Darkness Invasion show and was able to pick up a Paul Kaiju Gacha Set. Which is awesome but now I need to get the mini Mockbat when it is available.
Hello!! New here, I'm a collector of vintage tin toy robots, new in vinyl toys. I'm interested in vintage toys from Ultraman. I have a few pieces of vinyl toy, and some mexican bootleg toys from Ultraman Greetings to all!!
Welcome to the forum! Although it is primarily for vinyl toys, you will definitely find a lot of crossover love for tin and diecast here too, especially among the vintage crew (although largely Japanese stuff). And of course, all things Ultra are very welcome. I would love to see some pics of your bootleg toys, since those are a passion of mine too.
Thanks!! gracias!! I don't have many to show, but I will took a pic later to show you Thanks for the welcome!

Hi I am Geoff Maxfield AKA GM2010 I kept meaning to join Skullbrain for a while. I love collecting kaiju toys and I also love to sculpt. I am even trying my hand at one day producing a kaiju toy of my own.
Hello everybody! Finally took the plunge to start posting, I've been lurking for a little while now. I enjoy the chunky/rough look and feel that many of the soft vinyl kaiju have. It's amazing to me how I can look at some of my toys and rediscover that initial love I had, even years after owning them.
Hi! I'm Maddie, I'm a 23 year old female from Connecticut, USA. I discovered the joy of toys through Instagram and it's spiraled into an obsession of mine. I love anything creepy, disturbing, monstrous, or just plain weird. I'm also pretty much a typical broke college student, so I don't have much of a collection at all, or means to attain anything I like... ...Needless to say, I spend a lot of time just admiring toys and browsing toy websites like a wolf at the fence of a sheep farm. I've recently just started to gain an interest in neo-kaiju because of the vast amount of originality and crazy colors involved, but I'm definitely a "newbie" when it comes to toys, brands, artists, and the like. I'm eager to learn as much as I can. I also do dabble a bit in sculpting, drawing, and crafting, and hope to one day make some resin figures of my own.
Hi there every body!!!!' my name is David. Born in Peru but live in the NYC! I have been collecting toys for a little bit. Started w designer vinyl and now I have moved into more and more kaiju.(love the feel, smell , the colors And the crazy designs) I have sign up a while ago but I had not gotten the chance to really intro myself and all that. Looking forward in learning more from all you guys about vintage Japanese vinyl and newer stuff that is a hard to get as the old ones. Into monsters, beasts, some bots, bright colors, devils, skulls, two headed devils, ugly and weird let me know!
Hey guys! I just joined a few days ago, I'm a collector and customizer looking for a community to get involved in. I love to repaint kaiju, I'll probably post a few of my creations on the forums within the next few days. As far as collecting goes, my collection really pales in comparison to some of the rare beauties I've seen on this board, but the crown jewel of my collection would have to be the Eiji Tsuburaya 100th birthday Aboras that I bought off of Ebay from Japan. I hope to learn a thing or two about both hobbies from this board!
Hi all! I've lurked sb for awhile as I became more and more interested in the kaiju/sofubi world, mostly through loving Itokin Park and then slowly getting into more and more creepy and strange and wonderful toys. Finally decided to take the plunge and start taking part in the board. I've been starting to mess around with casting resin like many others, have a long ways to go before I'd wanna post something but like seeing what others are doing here.
