I just found out I have the Amazon streaming service too (my wife is a "Prime" member.) After sifting through it, not much better/worse then Netflix. Then to watch "new" movies you need to pay an additional "rental" fee, LOL. Torrents right, I mean, right? Rental fee my ass. Or Redbox for $1. Or not at all since I'm a miser and hate most new movies since I'm a crank ass hater.
A non-Netflix viewpoint. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/business/yo ... 1459.story Farewell, Qwikster. We hardly knew ye. Or better yet: Good riddance.
has anyone gone back from just having instant - having dvds and is your queue still there also any words if the saved section willl be put back
I'm not really sure, did you get your sales queue list back up? I'm pretty sure B.76's toys should be at the top of the list... Also any word if he'll ever actually get his toys?
Has anyone started to use blockbuster for dvds? I've been debating keeping netflix streaming for now and switching to a different service for dvds. From the ads blockbuster includes blu rays for the same cost, where netflix ups the charge on you. I also know there is a blockbuster physical location close by, or at least there used to be.
One of the things about the stuff I do like on instant, is they are a lot of things I've already purchased. Like the gold box. Though I really didn't recall/watch all of season two before I had it, and I can't say I would again.
My wife blogged about 3 NF instant movies we watched recently: http://www.votregrandesoeur.com/?p=669
Can you screw me now? Verizon will slap new fees on everything and nickle and dime the consumer. Buh Bye Netflix if this happens... ---------- "Shares of Netflix soared more than 6% Monday on a report that Verizon Communications is considering buying the troubled movie renter. Verizon is reportedly evaluating whether a purchase of Netflix could provide an entry into the video delivery business, DealReporter said, citing a source close to the matter. The news comes as Netflix continues to struggle from a series of missteps earlier this year when it raised subscription prices and separated its DVD-by-mail service and streaming. Netflix's stock price plunged to a new 52-week low two weeks ago when the company warned it would fall to a loss in 2012 if it failed to boost its bruised customer base."
Thanks for the link, I enjoyed her writing and wouldn't have known about these movies otherwise. Bookmarking "Pontypool" now for viewing later.
Guh, that would suck for sure. Whatever, riding the wave for now. Rock A Fire Explosion doc is on Netflix now + Spaced. Time to get in while the gettin's good.
Just watched the first season of Sherlock, only three episodes, and can't wait for more. Thought they did a great job of bringing everything into modern times.
good choice. About time for me to do the same. I heard that theyre going to be making a new season of Arrested development only available on netflix. anyone hear about that? if so I've gotta get some netflix for alittle bit.
this is about all that is known. so no hurry. but really troubled about the verizon news, i really hope they don't cash out. also, queued 'pontypool,' thanks mrs. ---nt---
I would have to stop watching it to rewatch it, I'm addicted. I mean like the guy in the 200.00 dollar banana suit is going to stop watching Arrested Development... C'Mon!
