Jet Grind Radio/Jet Set Radio was way cool. Darius would be great to remake. That was a really awesome shooter from soundtrack to graphics and gameplay, it was just really great. Space Marine and NHL12 are what I'm waiting for. I must have played that Space Marine demo a dozen times already

Checked with Aaron to see if it's OK to post these here. Not _exactly_ related, but here's two video games I recently painted images of for a show at Gallery 1988. Might still do some touchup, but they're shippable . 16x20" acrylic on canvasboard. And yeah, airbrush was a huge benefit on these, as I hadn't painted anything other than models/figures/toys for the last 15 years traditionally. Normally would've done this digitally and done prints, but wanted to prove to myself I could do it. Shot outside, frame test fit by valleydweller, on Flickr
I just downloaded the WWE Allstars demo, and I will be purchasing the game tomorrow! Seems like a great filler until Gears 3 comes out. Rest in peace Macho Man...
Well, I am not playing it right now, but I sure WISH I was http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14748027 Finally I don't have to don my trenchcoat and grease up my beard to get in to the backrooms of German rental stores. This is good news for all Thing is, this has nothing to do with Nazi imagery, as you might imagine (Wolfenstein is still banned), but is actually about the violence depicted in the game.
megaman drum covers! this guy is good! heatman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLHztL0vu6w tornadoman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgOOump0Un4
No doubt. Wow! I currently cannot stop playing Baby Monkey (going backwards on a pig) on my iPhone. I can't really say why... It's addicting.
Powering through Gears of War 1 and 2 in preparation for GoW3. Nate helping me through it all by playing co-op.
Apparently they made a NEW Darius for PSP. And it was in the arcades too. Used the Crytek engine also. I don't know how I missed this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6-apZc7-ng
That Darius release never made it out of Japan it seems?! Dug out Patapon2 yesterday! Still awesome! Oh, and I have a growing desire to play Disgaea again but got no PS2 anymore . . . cannot decide which Disgaea to get - PSP or PS3 . . . or wait for Disgaea 4?
If anyone has the Space Marine PS3 code for extra Space Marine skins (not Chaos Marine), and you won't use it, please let me know.
yeah, how is Warhammer 40k for PS3? 3rd person shooter?? hmmmm, Gears of Warhammer?? me too or worth a try?
I've downloaded the demo for Space Marine, but I haven't tried it out yet. From some footage I've seen it is a third-person shooter like Gears, but there is no cover system. Also, theres a some melee combat involved. Not sure if it's similar to the melee combat of God of War, but it did look a bit hack and slash to me.
Space Marine is awesome. It's not a choice to do either range or melee combat. You do both. Soften them up with the guns then hack away. You start out with the Bolter Pistol and a Combat Knife but the upgrades come quick. I haven't gotten the Thunder Hammer yet, can't wait to get it and bash in some Orks. I mainly use the Bolter or Stalker (long range) depending on situation and Power Axe. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet.
Been playing "Dead Island". Ok game with good graphics and a different type of hit system. Lots of glitches and constant side missions make it somewhat not enjoyable. I hope they at least put out a patch to fix the glitches.
Enjoying Space Marine. Picked up a Plasma Pistol to replace the Bolter Pistol and a Lasrifle to replace the Stalker. Not thrilled about the Vengence Launcher...kinda weak for it's name. Oh... Warhammer 40k universe was around long before Gears of Whack. Why do I need cover... I'm a freaking Space Marine.
I have 4 or 5 friends playing Dead Island right now and they are really enjoying it but said it is full of bugs. I am tempted to take the plunge...
I couldn't feel anything for Space Marine myself because of the Zack Snyder '300'-like slow-mo during the melee, or the ground pounding moves. I don't know if you can adjust it, or turn it off, but it was way more annoying than "intense." I feel I'm in the minority, though.
Besides the glitches the game is starting to become more fun as I play it..some of the glitches are cool though. I was able to drive my truck over a wall and drive it down to the beach where most of the zombies hang out..pulling donuts and killing zombies is real fun.
You can't adjust or remove the slow-mo. As far as the ground pounding, it depends on the button combo that you use and you melee weapon. The slow-mo gives me time to adjust my next attack after execution so it works well for me...especially when I charge into a large group. I played 40K and Space Hulk quite a bit when I was younger so games like Dawn of War and Space Marine are really great for me to see these characters come to life and be able to play them.
