I agree... Nothing against you silent killer, but whoever made this video either didn't realize that there is something wrong with the kittens, or is just sick IMO. The kittens are ill or have some sort of disorder where they can barely walk and keep falling dawn stiff... Then, someone makes a "funny" laser video out of them... All I could think about while watching this video is: What is wrong with the poor little kittens? and Are they going to be ok? Sorry about my little rant there... Anyways, on a lighter note... ^I got this pic from: http://carabevanartfromtheheart.blogspo ... -cats.html And, here is my sweetie (Misia): How I miss her so... She passed away earlier this year in March But she still has a place in my heart. <3
I can understand your opinions on that, I guess I didn't realize it would upset people or I wouldn't have posted it. I saw the original without the lasers first and it did make me sad. the kittys apparently have that disorder(?) that those fainting goats have, but its more sad for kittens who need to jump and stuff. the lazers lightened it up for me, but again I can see how it would bum people out.
Oh, no worries I'm definitely not mad at you or anything like that, you're still cool in my book (if that counts for anything ). I was just saying that the people who made that video are a tid bit insensitive... I believe the condition is called "myotonia congenita" and it is extremely rare in cats... From what I've read, it can be dangerous/deadly, but at the same time, it doesn't have to be (I think it depends on how healthy the body is). It is treatable in humans, but they don't have a treatment for cats... One of the kittens from the video wound up dying (I'm not sure which one, but the Kittens name was Spike). However, the people in the UK are going to try and treat the the other kitten with drugs that has never been used on cats before... I hope it works. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11653848) Anyways, I am not upset at the post, just the people who created the content. Also, I'm kind of "glad" that you posted this (kind of a bittersweet thing). I got to learn something new (myotonia congenita), and it's a really interesting subject matter. Very sad that it happens though...
Okay, I can't pass up the opportunity to share the antics of our cat - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0TEYMeFwEA He's fanatically obsessed with his toy wand, and if we aren't playing with him enough, he'll pick it up by the handle and make his own fun. Also, I'm way too proud that he made it onto I Can Has Cheezburger - VIDEO: Kitteh Becomes a Pinwheel
