Well its good to know it doesn't get much worse. The suffering for art is easier than the suffering from emotions. I tend to only get painful tattoos when something awful happens. ha.
Yeah, right in the middle is tough. I have more meat on my bones (aka I'm fatter) and it still stung. My wrists were the worst of what I have, though.
New line work. Mikruas from Butanohana header on wrist. More Yokai on upper arm. Can't wait for the color to be added. Then the background.
wow! i really like the buta header- very nicely done! i noticed you're from l.a. also-who does your work if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks! I'm getting my current work done with Mike at Studio City Tattoo http://www.studiocitytattoo.com/
I just confirmed for about seven hours on the back of my thigh next Thursday. I only had two teeny tiny tattoos done in 2010 (literally teeny tiny- the stars on temples) so it's been since November 2009 that I've sat for six, seven hours. Not looking forward to the process but can't wait to cross off another big piece of real estate.
The back of the thighs up to the small of the back is the most uncomfortable place thus far on my eventual bodysuit.
Why is that? I know different strokes for different folks / everyone's body is different, but I have the easiest time working from the belt line down on my back piece. I'm super fucking ticklish and touchy on my back, so above the belt is a jumpy hell for me - I fucking hate it. Sure there are complaints to be made about tattooing your ass, and the chest is tough and all - but I hate working on my back like a motherfucker. Really glad that I have the back 98% done as of this week, and only like 2-3hrs left in all.
I don't have any tattoos yet but I have a few ideas for stuff I'd want mostly on my back if I weren't an acne-covered lardass...guess I have more time to think about it while I'm getting in shape
My inner thigh was no picnic, but the back just seems like it's going to suck. Ribs weren't a hoot either, but I can honestly say that I'd do them all over again before I'd redo my palms. Ouch.
Not sure why...but I can relax well enough to pretty much fall asleep anywhere else on my body so far.
I can totally fall asleep too. This last time the guy got worried and thought I was passing out. I told what does he expect with me laying down in a big, comfy chair and I've been up for bout 18 hours?? He didn't believe me.
well, the girlfriend took it like a champ - both her first pieces have been on the ribs, crazy ass just needs to go in for another 45mins or so to wrap it up. My back's like one sitting away from completion.. now I'm antsy to finish >_<
Probably old news for some but I think I havent posted in this thread yet. ultra Q by Baikin, on Flickr Got this from the same person, Hata at Ink Rat in Koenji. Actually he has done all my work except my back which was done by Jesse Tuesday that I would love to have him finish someday if I ever move back to SF. Pagos! by Baikin, on Flickr
Four hours on the backside of my thigh this morning. 10am appointments for the win. I forgot how much this stuff hurts. Pictures when I stop whining. I feel like Danny Glover in Lethal Weapon.... I'm getting too old for this shit.
I got an inkrat tattoo too! They came to ATX for the convention. Some bullshit on my ankle that I want lasered. My fault not theirs. Small world!
