Heyyyyyy a newer person with good taste! Thanks for posting a pic of this guy. I've seen a few GID Dorol's but none in the actual "glow" stage. Nice pick up.
very nice dokugan! i wish i can take glow shots like these. is there a thread talking about how to take glow shots with normal unsophisticated point & shoot camera?
Maybe someone here can help: the longest exposure setting I have on my camera (a Nikon D3000) is 30 seconds and then there's a "bulb" option. Is there any way to use that one to actually make exposure longer? 30 seconds works fine with some toys (e.g.: the visi) but not so much with other (e.g. the heater)... (the clear + gid set-up was totally swiped from someone here...)
Jay - truly stunning! I am on the hunt for the GID Glutamine. Thanks for the GID shot. petitetoilonrouge - I checked out your flickr to look at the specs of the heater pic. Your aperture is turned up to the max! It was set at f/32.0. Try knocking that sucker down to about 7 or 10. Try 5 even. You should get a brighter pic.
u did much better than me jay ! i am a veteren toy collector but rookie toy photographer, especially gid shots lots to learn.
Zinc! I hope you get your own GID Bemon soon for you are going to kill these things with your masterful shooting.
I am always floored by your toys---but not from your photos Joe! But its always thrilling to see what you show us here---more!
Took some test shots with proper settings yesterday night... Now waiting for my tripod to take a group shot! Will try to do a sb-safe version
