"on another note, i just picked up terry poupier from the post office and the little dude is totally awesome! i got the "green gloves" terry. does only mine have that, or are others painted with gloves?" On Le Merde's blog there is a shot of 8 figures.Only 2 have green gloves.
The GR Bangal vinyl is IMO the very best yet. I just didn't wanna support the condescending dude at GR. Fucking cognitive dissonance.
Anyone here end up with the LM Icebat or My Friend Dave? Definitely my favorites.. From Giant Robot..
Board member Manga Spawn scored the Dave. He was lucky enough to get it online, even though he traveled to LA for the opening. Items should be shipping soon I hope. I didn't buy any figures from the show, but did buy one of the giant "face paintings"
The shine on these look very, very nice. Mike has such an incredible ability to take figures we've already seen and continuously breathe new life into them. It's part of what makes him my absolute favorite. My only ? is, wasn't the mold on the LeDavHara sculpts supposed to be broke after the show? ... at least that was my impression hmm
Agreed. Maybe he had an extra one casted so he painted it up for the show. For some reason I'm not surprised to see another one. Still awesome stuff. Really want to pick up one of glass hat figures but I can't even pick one. they are all so awesome.
Hey dudes! I have gotten that question a lot lately. The molds for LeDavHara were not killed or broken. There was some miss-communication going on there. The mold for David and Sun-min's Resin dude from the show was purposely broken. So that's all there is of their dude. But most likely the 3 heads for the LeDavHara figure won't be sold as a set ever again. Just 1 body 1 head. Unless we make a new set of heads.. So you will probably see some 1/1 customs of the LeDavHara figure from Me, David and Dehara this year in some of our art shows.
Thanks for chiming in Mike. We all appreciate it when an artist can clear up questions directly, with no drama. Here's to a prosperous '10
